Roles

Community Manager

The ideal candidate for this position will be responsible for engaging with our community and leading discussions. The outcome will be increased community engagement and excitement.

Responsibilities

  • Have a deep understanding of Libre Galaxy’s offerings and goals
  • Lead community-as-service discussions with customers and partners
  • Support the development of community strategies across all social media and community channels
  • Define structure, rules and community relevant messaging that generates excitement and engagement from members, followers and users.
  • Take ownership of day-to-day community responsibilities for online members that use our offerings
  • Develop effective community messaging and campaigns.
  • Support growth strategies to amplify Libre Galaxy’s presence and relevance within the FOSS, Minecraft, and Discord ecosystem.
  • Prepare reports showing quantitative and qualitative results.

Discord Moderator

The ideal candidate for this position will be responsible for fostering a positive, welcoming, and constructive community atmosphere in our Discord. This will involve actively moderating discussions, enforcing community guidelines, and liaising between players and staff. The outcome will be a fun and safe environment for all community members.

Responsibilities

  • Actively monitor Discord channels for content or behavior that may break our Community Guidelines
  • Moderate discussions by removing content that breaks our Community Guidelines and taking appropriate action
  • Engage positively with community members by answering questions and participating in discussions
  • Identify and help resolve problems in the community
  • Provide helpful guidance to community members on acceptable conduct and content
  • Compile incident reports and feedback to improve moderation policies and procedures

The outcome will be an expansion of awareness and adoption of ethical tech.

  • Research and analyze ethical technology topics, trends, and industry developments
  • Craft engaging articles, blog posts, and other materials that showcase ethical tech
  • Promote principles like privacy by design, transparency, and user autonomy

The ideal candidate for this position will be working with us to develop primarily open source Minecraft plugins designed for our Minecraft servers. The outcome will be us achieveing our development goals faster.

Minecraft Map Builder

The ideal candidate for this position will be responsible for designing and constructing immersive, engaging Minecraft builds and maps/worlds for our community to play on and explore. This role involves creativity, attention to detail, and technical skill with in-game building tools such as WorldEdit. The outcome will be exciting new environments for players to explore and enjoy.

Responsibilities

  • Conceptualize and create unique, well-designed builds and worlds
